Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, is scheduled to visit Maharashtra this Saturday. He will be unveiling multiple development projects totaling over Rs 56 billion. The Prime Minister's visit will start in Washim where he will open the Banjara Virasat Museum to celebrate the rich Banjara heritage.
Modi will first offer prayers in the Jagdamba Mata Temple at Poharadevi, and pay his respects to the samadhis Sant Sevalal Maharaj, and Sant Ramrao Maharaj.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for projects in Thane worth more than Rs 32,800 Crore. He will also open in Mumbai the Bandra Kurla Complex to Aarey JVLR segment of the Mumbai Metro Line 3 which was built for approximately Rs 14,120 crore. Then he will take a ride on the metro between BKC and Santacruz.
Modi is scheduled to launch in Washim at noon agricultural and animal husbandry projects worth approximately Rs 23,300 crore. During this event, he'll disburse around Rs 20,000 to 9.4 crore farmers as the 18th installment for the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi. An official statement stated that he will also launch the fifth instalment of NaMo Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana, and distribute Rs 2,000 crore.
The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) will be used to fund over 7,500 projects, with a cost of around Rs 1,920 crore. The projects include cold storage, custom hiring centers and primary processing facilities.
The PM will introduce the Unified Genomic Chip (Chip Unified) for cattle, as well as indigenous sex sorted semen technology. This is to make sex sorted semen cheaper for farmers.
Genotyping services have developed the genomic chips GAUCHIP (for indigenous cattle) and MAHISHCHIP (for buffaloes). This technology will allow early identification of high quality bulls.
In the evening PM Modi returns to Thane for the inauguration and foundation stone laying of additional development projects totaling over Rs 32 800 crore. The Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project will be one of the most important initiatives. It is estimated to cost approximately Rs 12,200 billion.
He will also lay the cornerstone for the Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension connecting Chheda Nagar with Anand Nagar, Thane. This project aims to create seamless connectivity between South Mumbai, and Thane.
Modi will also dedicate five solar farms with a combined capacity of 19MW in Maharashtra, under the Mukhyamantri Sah Krushi Vahini 2.0. He will also lay foundation stones for Phase-1 of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area project (NAINA), worth approximately Rs 2,550 crore.
